Canada is a great nation to live in. It is a multicultural nation where all Canadian citizens have rights and responsibilities. Canada is a democracy. All Canadian citizens have a voice. Canada’s political system or government involves the people. Canada also has a prosperous economy because we are a land with many resources. The government and the economy make Canada a great place to live.
In this module you begin your exploration into Canada’s political system and how it impacts who you are, your quality of life, and what being a Canadian means to you and all citizens of Canada.
Examine the following focus question: What is the connection between governance and quality of life, citizenship, and identity?

You will present your understandings by choosing an assignment format. You may choose to work individually, with a partner, or in a group.
Your final module assessment will be an exam with multiple-choice questions and a written response.
